Cone Crushers
Cone crushers are a very widely used compression type crusher used for secondary and tertiary size reduction of materials. Cone crushers are a variation of gyratory crushers and operate on the same basic principle of an eccentric motion of an inner crushing cone against an outer chamber. The cone crusher however has geometrical differences including a shorter spindle and a larger diameter crushing surface gyrating inside an inverted truncated cone. It also travels at a higher speed with greater travelling distance. The crushing cone is supported at the bottom which allows the outer chamber to lift and pass hard tramp material without damaging the crusher. Standard (normal secondary) and Short-head (fine tertiary) configurations are available with different liner materials and surface patterns. For finer material reduction a specialized cone crusher called a gyradisc crusher is used.
Cone crushers are used as secondary and tertiary crushers which can handle a wide range of materials and throughputs. They offer a compact size with high crushing performance in an efficient and reliable manner.
